I'm learning to play the Piano, and I wanted a keyboard to practice in my room. I love the design and the sound, so I bought the DX7.

You've got a thing for '80s technology. I haven't forgotten about the MiniDisc player. I just can't find it. But I will.

you need a Roland D-50 to go along with it.

I'm a beginner in playing music, but maybe when I am more advanced I will have multiple synths.

I've been jonesing for one of those for some time now. Some very classic '80s patches on there that got used in a lot of hit music from that time

Yeah, from what I've read it was a very popular synth of the 80s, and many hits were made with the DX7.

Be prepared to only use the presets on it. Programming a DX-7 is just about as easy as launching a spaceship. Between only having touchpad buttons, and being a really difficult form of synthesis, it's very difficult. FM synthesis is difficult enough, not having knobs to dial it in will drive you mad.

That is what everyone says. Currently I have no need for programming, as I'm still learning the basics of playing the Piano.
